Floating Process

Your float tank education starts right here!
In a modern age filled with the expectations to be more creative, consistent and perfect than ever – stress and pressure consumes a large majority of us. We’re all constantly in a state of searching for ways to be a bit happier, more relaxed and less stressed – all while still being productive. Is this even realistic, or healthy?
Our mind and body contain almost 100 billion neurons and is essentially the coolest super computer ever.
Combined, they help us monitor important bodily functions like blood pressure, heart rate, breathing and hormones – and also aid in understanding and communicating inputs such as touch, sight and balance.
Many people don’t even realize how many millions of processes happen every second just to keep us in the proper posture against gravity. Simply sitting in a chair still requires a certain amount of sensory attention.
Now imagine an environment specifically designed to reduce immense amounts of, internal and external, stimulus so the mind and body can go into a super-ultra-recovery-mode and rest quietly in homeostasis.
With all your systems in rest-mode – you can now experience deep, physiological relaxation and meditation with no outside distractions or internal pressures. Real, genuine, time to yourself – cool, complete, present.
The best part about floating? It requires little to no effort on your behalf! As long as you bring yourself and an open mind, you can experience some pretty awesome results by doing nothing at all – simply lying back.
Muscles and joints can completely relax, let go and take a break from balance and posture.
Brain no longer needs to work as hard to maintain skin temperature and can focus energy elsewhere.
The enormous amount of processing required for our vision and hearing is reduced to a minimum.
We essentially have a grand-piano’s worth of Epsom salt in each of our float rooms, which is close to 1,000 pounds. All of this is dissolved into water and kept at a constant temperature of approximately 34° Celsius.
This allows us to maintain a hyper-buoyant solution, 2x dense as the Dead Sea, and also gives your brain a much needed rest by reducing the amount of energy required to regulate skin temperature during the float.
Now add-in extremely soundproof rooms, with no light being able to enter the tanks except for the personal controls, and we now have an incredible, stimulus-reduced environment to let the mind and body relax.
Floating is a simple, refreshing and affordable solution to many of life’s stresses, pressures and demands. Imagine getting the relief of going on a 2-week vacation – but concentrated into an hour or two of floating!
Most people are generally pretty intrigued by the new concept of relaxation but sometimes have concerns about claustrophobia and other intimidating factors surrounding getting into a float tank for the first time.
This is why we decided to go with massive float rooms and focused on being as transparent as possible!
